Ingredients
Base
- 150g strong bread flour
- 100ml warm water
- 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
Sauce
- 50ml passata
- 1 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- a handful of fresh basil
Topping
- 75g mozzarella, sliced if using a ball or grated
- 30g cherry tomatoes, sliced
- fresh basil leaves
Simple steps
- Put the flour, yeast and salt into a large bowl
- Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the warm water and the olive oil
- Mix with the wooden spoon until the dough is soft
- Knead on a lightly floured surface for 5 mins, cover with the tea towel and leave to one side
- Cook the passata, garlic and basil for 5 minutes, leave to cool
- Roll out the dough onto a floured surface and shape into a pizza base shape
- Add the tomato sauce and top with the mozzarella and tomatoes
- Cook for about 8-10 mins until the pizza starts to go crisp at the edges
