Ingredients

Base

  • 150g strong bread flour
  • 100ml warm water
  • 1/2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Sauce

  • 50ml passata
  • 1 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • a handful of fresh basil

Topping

  • 75g mozzarella, sliced if using a ball or grated
  • 30g cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • fresh basil leaves

Simple steps

  1. Put the flour, yeast and salt into a large bowl
  2. Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the warm water and the olive oil
  3. Mix with the wooden spoon until the dough is soft
  4. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 5 mins, cover with the tea towel and leave to one side
  5. Cook the passata, garlic and basil for 5 minutes, leave to cool
  6. Roll out the dough onto a floured surface and shape into a pizza base shape
  7. Add the tomato sauce and top with the mozzarella and tomatoes
  8. Cook for about 8-10 mins until the pizza starts to go crisp at the edges
