This breaded fish and homemade chips tastes great, and much healthier than the takeaway!

Equipment
- Small saucepan
- 2 baking trays
- Pastry brush
- Chopping board
- Sharp knife
- Lemon squeezer
- Food processor
- Medium mixing bowl
- Fish slice
Ingredients
- 1 lemon
- 25g margarine
- 75g wholemeal bread
- Small bunch parsley
- 1.6kg potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Ground black pepper
- 4 fillets white fish e.g. haddock, cod, pollock
Simple steps
- Preheat the oven to 180C / 160C fan / Gas Mark 4
- Peel and slice the potatoes into chip shapes
- Arrange onto a baking tray and drizzle with the olive oil
- Put the chips into the oven for 45-50 minutes, turning occasionally
- Melt the margarine in the saucepan and remove from heat
- Squeeze the juice from half the lemon into the saucepan
- Add the bread and parsley into the food processor and blitz until breadcrumb texture
- Put the breadcrumbs into the mixing bowl and add the margarine mixture
- Coat the fish pieces in the breadcrumbs and add to the baking tray
- Bake the fish for around 20 minutes
