Chicken Fajitas

This spicy dish is perfect to make for friends – tastes great but easy to make!

  • Colander
  • Wooden spoon
  • Sharp knife
  • Chopping board
  • Deep frying pan


  • 1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
  • 2.5g chilli powder
  • Half small lettuce, shredded
  • 1 red onion, peeled and finely sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced thinly
  • 30ml vegetable oil
  • 5ml balsamic vinegar
  • 400g can chopped tomatoes
  • 5ml tomato puree
  • 10g dried oregano
  • 6 tortilla wraps
  • 20g of soured cream

Simple steps

  1. Heat the oil in the wok and cook the chicken for 3 minutes until turned white
  2. Add the powdered chilli for 1 minute, then add the onion, garlic and red pepper
  3. Stir fry until softened and add the balsamic vinegar and cook for a few seconds
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree and oregano and cook for about 4 minutes
  5. Heat the tortilla wraps in the microwave according to packet instructions
  6. Place some of the chicken mixture into the middle of the wrap, add lettuce, soured cream and roll up
  7. Enjoy!

Top Tip

  • This is easy to make veggie friendly using Quorn pieces instead of chicken
